HSEP Board Positions Descriptions

President: Eileen Gaddy

  • Attend all chapter and board meetings
  • Ensure that other officers are meeting the descriptions of their jobs
  • Drafting meeting agendas
  • Succession Planning. At a minimum, conduct a “Pass The Torch” meeting with the newly elected President prior to the end of the calendar year.

Vice President: Hannah Thorp

  • Attend all chapter and board meetings.
  • In the absence of the chapter president, conduct meetings and serve as interim president in accordance with chapter bylaws, until a new president is in place
  • Supports the President
  • Coordinates the board meetings
  • President in training
  • Succession Planning. At a minimum, conduct a “Pass The Torch” meeting with the newly elected Vice President prior to the end of the calendar year.

Secretary: Jo Ann Hallmark

  • Attend all chapter and board meetings.
  • Responsible for ensuring that meetings are effectively organized and minuted.
  • Prints minutes and gives them to the president to put them in the binder.
  • Puts minutes in a google folder.
  • Succession Planning. At a minimum, conduct a “Pass The Torch” meeting with the newly elected Secretary prior to the end of the calendar year.

Treasurer: Jessica Maceda

  • Attend all chapter and board meetings.
  • Collect dues at all monthly chapter meetings and work with chapter Membership Chair to coordinate registration process.
  • Maintain chapter bank account and records.
  • Balance/Financial report at board meetings
  • Prepare annual budget with the assistance of the president and submit for approval to the board.
  • Succession Planning. At a minimum, conduct a “Pass The Torch” meeting with the newly elected Treasurer prior to the end of the calendar year.

Membership/HR: Ashley Warren & Paula Domske

  • Attend all chapter and board meetings.
  • Enter Visiting Guest information into a spreadsheet as necessary.
  • Contact members whose membership is past due.
  • Coordinate with webmaster to maintain members coming and going on the site.
  • Maintain prospective members list and send membership applications.
  • Active in recruiting new members.
  • Registration Table at Monthly Meetings;
    • Coordinate staffing of the registration table and hand out name tags.
    • Sign in sheet
    • Recognizing new members

Programs/Site Chair: Denise Lovin

  • Attend all chapter and board meetings.
  • Overseeing the coordination of the bi-monthly meetings
  • Plan a calendar year of six separate facilities to host bi-monthly HSEP meetings
  • Coordinate education component to fit each monthly meeting
  • Coordinate with webmaster in sending out email blasts to members about the meetings
  • Sending email thank yous to participating vendors
  • Making sure any contributing members that require payment get paid

Professional Development Coordinator: Megan Shepphard

  • Implement and oversee activities such as  Lunch and Learn or Seminars/Meetings to foster professional development within membership to include educational topics
  • Plan Ice Breaker games and activities at meetings to foster interaction between members
  • Encourage relationship building among members
  • Communicate events to webmaster and social media manager for promotion

Community Outreach: Jessica Clearwater & Karen Carroll

  • Pinpoint and brainstorm who we’re going to serve
  • Communicate ideas and progress to the board at monthly meetings
  • Volunteer Coordinator for sponsored events
  • Communicate events to webmaster and social media manager for promotion

Internet Marketing & Social Media Manager/Publicity: Meris Gantt & Andrea Elaver

  • This job includes creating social media profiles, managing regular posts and responding to followers.
  • Platforms currently in use are Facebook, Instagram and Pinterest.
  • The goal is to engage our current visitors on the platforms and give them share-worthy material to attract new visitors.
  • Reviewing and updating the HSEP images on Chamber websites and other publications.
